In 1989 the Charrères built Les Crêtes winery. The winery, the heart of the estate, is located in the scenic Aymavilles area of the Aosta Valley. Les Crêtes' Vineyards are spread over 23 hectares among parcels in six different villages, and planted in both indigenous vinifera varieties as well as the more traditional vinifera varieties. The soils that have developed over the centuries on the glacial morain hillsides around Aymavilles are composed of a mixture of sand and calcareous rocks. Les Crêtes' wines have a mineral freshness and elegance.
