Famous for being the first cross-border race in history, Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening is the main news of the Ski World Cup circuit which is held between Breuil-Cervinia and Zermatt. The new slope, called 'Gran Becca' was conceived by the Olympic downhill champion Didier Défago, hosts four races, two for men and two for women. The start will be at Gobba di Rollin (3,899 m), Zermatt, Switzerland, and the arrival at Laghi Cime Bianche (2,804 m), Breuil-Cervinia, Italy: about 4 km of length and 1,000 m of drop.
