Dominated by the pyramid of Matterhorn, to which it owes its notoriety, the Valtournenche is full of lovely areas facing the Valley, finally arriving at the famous Breuil-Cervinia, with its ample sports offerings for summer as well as winter.
On the glacier of Plateau Rosà you may also ski in summer. An ideal destination for fans of trekking and mountain biking, during the summer season it also welcomes golfers with an 18 hole course.
In winter, thanks to the “ski on foot” connection with Zermatt and Valtournenche, it constitutes one more ski complex in the Alps.
Alternatives to the super sporty Cervinia are Torgnon and Chamois, typical alpine villages.
